Take a swing around the new Scion x Riley Hawk Skate Tour xB created for this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas from November 4 to 7, 2014. In this video you can check out all the features of this 1970s party ride-themed Scion xB that were created for professional skateboarder Riley Hawk. Built by Scott Kanemura of KMA Productions, this xB integrates Hawk’s interests ’70s style, music and skateboarding.
The vehicle combines both the old and new with features including wood-grain décor, a mini fridge, shag carpet, an 8-track player, a Big Pioneer Sound System and the ability to play a guitar through the audio system using an iPad mini as mixer. There’s also a cargo box with an INNO rack system to store skateboards. To stay true to the era, this Scion xB also features a custom paint pattern with a “fish bowl” side window, non-functional dual side exhaust pipes, plus plush captain-style chairs in the front and back. As Hawk says, “It’s the perfect mix between modern and vintage.”
Riley Hawk and the Shep Dawgs crew were recently interviewed by host Prince Paul on the Scion AV All Purpose Show. He also completed a skate demo tour sponsored by Scion AV. Expect even more from this Scion Collaboration participant in the coming months.
